HELP WANTED

New Church School program needs your help! It will take a minimum of 3-4 volunteers (experienced or inexperienced) to make it work. If you are whispered to, nudged or called to be good stewards in the sharing of God's Word and love to our kids, please contact Father Russ or Dan Williams-Capone

Choir Program

Our new Music Director, Chuck Hooten, welcomes all to come and grow with our choirs (vocal choirs or bell choir.) At present, choir practice will be in the Nave on Sunday mornings at 8:45. Come and help make a joyful noise unto the Lord.

Calling and Care Committee

A calling and care committee chaired by Jane Keen is being formed to ensure our ill, infirm and housebound continue to be looked after. If you have a need or know of someone that does, you can contact Jane, the church office or Senior Warden Dan Williams-Capone.

Meals on Wheels Needs You!

Every Friday, a team of 2 or 3 from St. Francis deliver Meals on Wheels from the Senior Citizen's Center to homes in Victoria. We need one or two more teams to deliver meals on the 5th Friday of the month and to help substitute for other teams. If you feel called to give an occasional Friday morning for this important work, please contact the church (575-0441) or Kay Roeh.

Calling for Acolytes!

All those age 9-99 are invited to join the corps of St. Francis acolytes. These vital ministers assist with liturgy, carrying the cross and torches and setting the table for Holy Eucharist. Please contact the church (575-0441)if you would like to join this group

GREETER AND USHER HELP NEEDED!

Please volunteer to be a greeter or an usher(or both) for either the 8:00am or 10:30am service on Sundays. There is an immediate need for two greeters at the 8:00am service and for one greeter at the 10:30am service. Also needed immediately are two ushers for the 10:00am service and three ushers for the 10:30am service. If you have a desire to serve in either of these ministries, please contact Russell Drane at 361-485-1245.

Greeter duties include welcoming visitors and parishioners to the Sunday service. Following the service dismissal, greeters accompany visitors to the Parish Hall for coffee and introduce them to parishioners. Greeters should be in the narthex ten minutes prior to service time

Usher duties include maintaining comfortable climate in the sanctuary, distributing bulletins, ringing the bell, counting attendees for the service, passing the offering plates, assisting communicants at the altar and "straightening up" the sanctuary area after the service. Ushers must be in the narthex fifteen minutes prior to service time.

SAVE A TREE, SAVE THE WORLD - we have begun recycling the paper from the office. You can help by placing your Sunday bulletins, announcements, etc. in the basket provided in the Narthex.
