ST. FRANCIS EPISCOPAL CHURCH Victoria, Texas |
God calls all Christians to be in a continual process of growth and
learning as we strive to follow in the steps of Jesus Christ our Lord.
At St.Francis, Christian Education is available for all ages -
from ages two through Adult on Sunday mornings at 9:30am. The mission and
ministry of
Christian Education at St. Francis’ is driven largely by the promises we make in our
baptismal covenant. Within those promises, we agree to continue in the study of God's
Word, Christian fellowship, and the study of the Apostles’ teaching and the teachings of
the Church. Each Sunday as we gather together, whether as adults or as children, we seek
to grow in our knowledge of God and His will for our lives. We encourage one another in
our quest to better understand His workings in the world and we share ideas and stories
about His workings in our daily lives.
We also have fun! Whether drawing a picture of what God might look like, or eating a piece
of apple and giving thanks for its creation, or pondering the larger ethical issues of living
the Christian life, we rejoice in each other’s fellowship. For it is in that fellowship that we
find new ideas and new insights into the wonders of the God in whom we believe. We
encourage every member of St. Francis, young and old, to come and join us in this
exciting journey together!
If you have an interest in sharing with us in this teaching ministry, please contact
Marty Worsley by emailing St. Francis Church.
The ministry of our acolytes is the ministry of serving at God’s altar by assisting the priest,
the lay ministers, and the ushers ensure that the church’s worship services flow smoothly.
The acolyte ministry is open to anyone who is ten years old and older and would like to
worship God as a server, as a crucifer, or as a torchbearer at the 8:00 AM and 10:30 AM
services as well as at other special services upon request.
